Program Information:

The Childcare Assistant certificate program is for those who want to work as licensed assistants in a childcare setting. The courses in this program are also transferable to the Early Childhood Care and Education Certificate program.

MTI Community College, teaches the Reggio Emilia approach to childcare which is based on principles of respect, responsibility and community through exploration and discovery, based on the children’s interests.

The small class sizes at MTI Community College enables students to receive individualized service and specialized training and are taught by highly qualified teaching staff.

Graduates of the Childcare Assistant Certificate program are qualified to work in childcare settings for 3 to 5 year olds.
