Program Information:

Licensed Practical Nursing has become the second largest nursing group in Canada. The LPN profession has evolved though education and clinical practice, which has in turn enhanced the opportunities for practical nurses. LPNs have the knowledge, skill, abilities and judgment to contribute in all phases of care, from prevention to acute treatment and management, to long term and palliative care.

The Licensed Practical Nursing program at Vancouver Career College is designed to train knowledgeable and competent practical nurses who will be able to work with other members of the healthcare team to deliver safe and effective care to patients in BC. The new Practical Nursing program at VCC offers an enhanced focus on not only the science of nursing, but on the art as well.

Graduates of the Practical Nursing program will gain the skills to meet the competencies and standards as required by the College of Licensed Practical Nursing British Columbia (CLPNBC).
