Program Information:

Students who graduate from the Community Service Worker program at Medix School successfully secure employment in schools, residential facilities and community agencies.

The private sector is a growing area for Community Service Workers along with government and mental health agencies, community centres, shelters, school boards, adult and youth group homes and addiction treatment centres, just to name a few. Some of the major responsibilities of a Community Service Worker is assisting individuals and families through support advocacy, and collaborating with other agencies to help clients in meeting emotional, health and social needs.
