Program Information:

Consider a career as a Practical Nurse if you are compassionate and have a desire to serve your community in the healthcare field. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) you will work closely with other health care specialists in acute care wards, private homes, public schools, care home or nursing home.

The Practical Nursing diploma program at CDI College, an accredited institution, will prepare you to work in medical, surgical and rehabilitation care. The comprehensive training you receive will prepare you to assume the fundamental duties and responsibilities of a Practical Nurse. The curriculum adheres to the standards laid out by the College of Licensed Practical Nurses in the province of study and the course work combines both classroom learning and lab work.

Through a series of Nursing Arts courses, you will learn both holistic and clinical practices. You will also gain hands-on experience through supervised practicum placements, which exposes you to real-world best practices and field training.

At the end of your practicum placement, you will participate in a preceptorship and job search training, to help transition you from student to graduate.Following graduation, you must write the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration exam to obtain your license to practice.
